云南省科学技术情报研究院查新检索中心是国家科技部认定的全省唯一国家级科技查新机构。中心查新员队伍经验丰富， 力量雄厚，硕博学历占70%，高级职称人员占50%。凭借丰富的信息资源、现代化检索手段，高素质的人才队伍，科学规 范的管理，对申报各级计划项目、成果鉴定项目，申报奖励项目，技术引进项目等提供查新报告；通过国际联机和国内 相关数据库，为用户检索最新、最全的收录、引文信息，出具检索证明报告；在云南省率先开展专利信息分析与预警服务， 为企业提供知识产权分析报告。以其权威性、客观性、公正性、产生了广泛的社会影响，形成了良好的服务品牌。
Technical Retrieval Center of Yunnan Academy of Scientific & Technical Information is the only national technical retrieval agency in Yunnan province, which is issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The center has a team of highly professional and experienced staff. Staff with master's degree or above is accounted for 70%, and staff with high-level technical title is accounted for 50%. With a wealth of information resources, modern search tools, high-quality personnel, scientific and standardized management, we provide technical retrieval reports to apply for all levels of R&D projects, achievements appraisal, S&T progress awards, and technology transfer projects. Through international and domestic online relational database, we retrieve the latest & most complete collection and citation information for users, and issue retrieval evidence report. We are also the first agency in Yunnan Province to provide patent information analysis and early warning service, providing intellectual property analysis report for enterprises and the government. With authority, objectivity, and impartiality of the reports, our service has a broad social impact, and form a good brand of service.
1992年 云南省科学技术情报研究院查新检索中心成立。
1997年 获得原国家科委(现科技部)授权的“国家一级查新单位资格”认证， 成为了获此认证的17家综合情报所之一，也是云南省唯一的国家一级查新咨询单位。
2004年 中心作为情报院ISO9000质量管理体系构建的试点部门编制了ISO9000 框架下符合查新规范的科技查新《质量手册》及《科技查新程序文件》。2005年云南省科学技术情报研究院正式通过了ISO9000质量管理体系认证。
2006年 陆续开展了企业竞争情报服务、软课题研究项目及可研项目等研究。
2010年 开始开展专利分析咨询业务，为企业产品开发、技术引进及对外贸易提供知识产权相关预警服务。
2013年 中心筹建了“云南省查新咨询服务平台”（www.yunnanchaxin.cn）实现科学化、数字化管理。
